It doesn't take much to make us a crew of happy photographers: beautiful light, natural scenery, two people madly in love....throw in a bottle of champagne and we're set. Kara and Jimmy wanted us to capture some photos of their new status as *fiancees* before the leaves all left the trees. They brought their game face and a bottle of champagne to the Arnold Arboretum in Jamaica Plain and met up with Chuck for an afternoon of photos together and we think you agree that the results are fantastic. Keeping things simple and easy are how we roll, and we're glad that Kara and Jimmy agree. There is such a happiness in their faces and demeanor, it's practically a pick me up right through the internet! Kara and Jimmy - thank you for allowing us to photograph this exciting time. We're so happy for you!
Today seems like a great day to share Lindsay and Mark's classic Boston Engagement photos with you. It's amazing what even a month can do in terms of fall color and weather. These images look so summery and bright, where lately we're finding the cool temps force us to bundle up when we're shooting. Cozy is good in the cold, but there is something really fun about Lindsay and Mark's polished yet relaxed look in these photos. Chuck joined these two for a stroll around Beacon Hill and the Boston Public Gardens. We've shot here a number of times in the past, but it always feels fresh to us. I guess that's why historic brick and cobblestone is always in. We love the images they created together and knew you would too. And that look Mark gives Lindsay? All the heart eyes... Congrats you guys!
Today we're thrilled to share a few highlights from Chuck's time with the adorable Katie and Phil during their fall Engagement Session. It's clear that their love for one another bubbles over the brim, and we love the classic, laid-back style these two share. It's no surprise that autumn in New England happens to be one of our most popular times for an Engagement Session, clearly the dewy light and fall colors serve as a perfect backdrop for a couple in love. They will be getting married in Georgia next May, so it's always fun to be able to capture couples before they tie the knot out of state so that they can always remember their time in Boston together. Katie and Phil, if this session is any indication of how your wedding images will turn out, you will have nothing to worry about! We wish you the best as you plan your beautiful wedding and beyond. Congrats!
It's hard to believe that this session was just over a month ago, when it was *fall* and not suddenly winter! We were so grateful to get to spend some time with Julia and Andrew during their Boston Engagement Session at some of our favorite spots in Boston. Beacon Hill will always be one of the most beautiful places in our minds, so when these two decided to incorporate it into their session, along with the exact place they got engaged on Comm Ave, we were all in. It doesn't hurt that Julia and Andrew have to be some of the sweetest folks we've had the honor of photographing. We may sound like a broken record, but we are constantly blown away with the quality of people we get to work with. Talented, humble, personable, down to earth and just a whole lot of fun. That pretty much describes these two to a T. Julia and Andrew, we can't wait for next September. Your wedding is going to be such a great day!
We love us a good Engagement Session. Put two gorgeous people in a stunning Boston backdrop and we're all set. I had the pleasure of photographing Christina and Gabe in their neighborhood of The North End back in June, which in wedding season feels like years ago. Their kindness, genuine spirits and laid back approachability made such an impact on me that I'm dreaming of zipping over to join them for Oysters after work today (meet you guys at Neptune at 5? :)). They will be tying the knot next year in Christina's home state of Michigan, and we're sure that whoever will get to photograph their wedding will be one lucky photographer. We love these glimpses of their life here in Boston and were honored to capture this special time in their lives. Congrats, Christina and Gabe!
Lindsay and Chris are proof that awesome people lead to working with more awesome people. Hear us out. Over two years ago, we booked Christine and Jay's wedding for spring of 2012. Christine was a Salve Regina University alumni and Jay was a Bryant University alum. Since that time we've worked with nearly a dozen couples who have had ties back to this wedding. Whether it was another Salve or Bryant alum who ran across their (or one of their friends') photos - or a direct connection to Christine and Jay - the referrals have spiraled to amazing proportions from this one couple. Word-of-mouth referrals are always our favorite way to meet and photograph couples because it's like when one of your closest friends introduces you a different friend of theirs who you haven't met yet. Everyone ends up jiving and getting along well. This has totally been the case with our Salve and Bryant connection couples. Every. Single. Couple. has been kind-hearted, gracious and genuine. It makes us feel like the luckiest photographers around because at the end of the day we get to work with great people with whom we have a great connection. Lindsay and Chris are a perfect example of this and we love the natural chemistry they share (as well as their stunning good looks!) and can't wait to photograph their wedding next fall on the cape. It's bound to be an amazing day filled with love, laughter and lots of familiar faces.
I'm just going to come out and say what you're all thinking. These. Two. Are. Gorgeous. Okay, now that that's out of my system we can gush a bit about how good Shalini and Abhinav are together. They will be getting married in Texas later next year but wanted to have some Engagement Photos in the city they met and fell in love. Shalini and Abhinav met in undergrad at BU and continued their courtship through medical school (also at BU) and into their medical residencies with BU affiliated hospitals. I don't know about you but we are voting that they get a Boston Terrier named Rhett ASAP. Thank you for allowing us to photograph you during this exciting time and we wish you nothing but the best!
There is something so sweet about this Engagement Session, isn't there? It's quiet and calm yet full of the type of love that exists from two people who made for one another. We met up with Josie and Josh at the Arnold Arboretum on a stormy summer evening and photographed the two of them in their element. These photos go to show that you don't need some sort of elaborate styled photoshoot to have some great images of your love and you together. Sometimes all you need is a quiet park on the brink of a summer storm as the two of you dodge raindrops together. Life is most beautiful during the in-between moments, isn't it?
Boston is so pretty. We'll never tire of photographing the contrasting cobblestone with mossy greens or the hundred year old trees canopying the even older streets. It's even more of a treat to be able to photograph two people in love in such a setting. Classy, beautiful and un-fussy, the setting fits Jackie and Matt to a T. We met up with the two of them and their adorably well behaved pup for a casual evening of chatting and photo-taking and had a great time. People like Jackie and Matt make our job so easy with their enthusiasm for life and love of one another. You'll see them on the blog again next fall when we shoot their September Wedding. It's bound to be a beautiful day!
I'm so in love with Andrea and Geoff's Engagement Photos. Between their adorable outfits and crisp colors of Beacon Hill, they just scream summer in Boston, don't they? Our Associate - aka bad ass Photographer Chuck will be shooting Andrea and Geoff's wedding next month and so it was only natural that he shoot their Engagement Session as well. We've had the pleasure of meeting Andrea and Geoff in person as well and I can say that their relaxed west-coast vibe and New England roots make for an adorable pair. We can't wait to see what sort of magic unveils at their Lyman Estate Wedding in July! It's going to be an amazing day.
